A Bit About Me
I was raised a Roman Catholic and thought I was all set for life by keeping the commandments, attending church, and following the teachings of the church.
Little did I know that God would put a young woman in my life at the age of 15 that I would date and eventually marry. Pat accepted the Lord as her Savior in the 1971 and that was the beginning of a time that was very rocky in our relationship. I could not understand why God and attending church and bible studies became the priority in her life.
In the summer of 1973 Pat told me that I needed to go to a bible study with her if I wished to continue to see her. I decided that I would go to the study to please her. The study at the time was known as Youth Ranch Bible Study led by Pastor Joseph Stringer, and he was teaching from the gospel of John.
The first time going I could not wait for it to end so I could get out of there. The next time the Lord got a hold of my heartland I spent time talking to the pastor and he showed me other scriptures stating my need of a Savior and I asked for forgiveness and prayed the sinner's prayer and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
I then started to go to Sunday Evening Services and Bible Studies weekly but continued to go to the Catholic church Sunday mornings too please my parents.
Winter of 1973- 1974 I was Baptized, and Pat and I got married on June 15th 1974.
Favorite verses are John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
1st John 5:11-12 And the witness is this that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the SON of God does not have the Me.
